Certifications: Group Fitness NB, Madd Dog Spinning, TRX Suspension Training, and Reebox Step.
Over the years I have seen many types of participants. Some were looking for health results today, some had the desire to exercise but didn't feel like they belonged in a gym or in a running clinic, and finally some who just want to have fun and get their moneys' worth. I decided to create realistic programming that would be suitable for every age group, fitness level, and body composition...
My background in the fitness, youth, and police fields, make my programming holistic and result orientated. I bring 17 years of experience in the fitness industry, and a strong following of dedicated participants. Life long education and awareness is a major component of my programs. Educating is my way of helping people young and old take charge of their personal health and well-being. I have an outgoing spirit and a fun approach, that naturally helps clients build trust in
their abilities no matter what fitness level they're at. I am committed to providing an enjoyable and supportive learning environment.
I feel blessed to have found such a fulfilling mission in life.
In my free time, you can always find me spending time with my family, running or biking the beautiful Island trails with my dogs, or fundraising for community causes.
My promise to you is a truly positive experience that will go beyond your expectations. If you are ready to make a change, we will teach you how.
I dedicate the spirit of the business to my grandmother Margaret, who taught hard work, kindness and respect will lead you through your life.
I look forward to meeting you,
Ledean Cairns-MacLeod

Certifications: Spin, Kettlebell, Group Fitness Specialist and TRX Suspension Training.
I have been involved in sports my whole life as a player and coach but have found my spark in the fitness industry 4 years ago; since the cycling studio opened. I have been teaching for 3.
Being out of the team sports realm; I was excited for studio cycling classes at Total Assets; I was hooked! The atmosphere, the people, and the results were what I was looking for and has lead me to leading you! I started with a Spinning certification, followed by Kettlebell, Group Fitness Specialist and most recently TRX. I enjoy all these classes and mixed with running provide a great mix but my overall favorite is spinning.
In my classes I like to mix things up and lead by example for you to get the most out of the workout. I work hard to set an atmosphere that will help you push yourself.
I am focused, to the point and get as much as I can out of you on time with a smile. As you get comfortable with the moves in each class I will challenge you to take it up a notch to feel a sense of accomplishment and reap the benefits. My classes provide high energy and strong songs to push you through the climb, sprint, lifts or whatever the day asks all at whatever level you choose. I have a genuine interest in helping you set and meet your fitness goals. I encourage you to push yourself beyond your limits to your best you. You want results and I challenge you to reflect on your goals and often get you to check where you are at and how you can get there...song by song day by day. When not at the studio or running, WORK is my mindfull wellness fix; I like to keep busy in the woods, on the lawn or anything outside and helping other people.
Work Hard, Play Hard and Enjoy Each Day! |

Certifications: Canadian Kickboxing Coaching Certification.
I started teaching kickboxing with Total Assets in Jan of 2010. It has been a great experience for me. I have taken the skills and passion for this sport and passed them on to the community. I have been personally involved in kickboxing for the past 12 years. I started taking classes as a way to get in shape and learn some self defence. Within three months of starting I lost 50lbs and was competing in the ring. Since then, I have competed over 17 times and continue to do so today! I will be fighting for a shot at the Canadan title, in NFLD in October 2011. I have had some great success in the ring with some great fights, that tested my heart and also made a stronger person inside and out. In 2009 I recieved my Canadian Kickboxing Coaching Certification. This was a great decision as it has made me a better person and fighter. I love teaching this sport and our TAF family of kickboxers has grown and I am proud to see their personal accomplishments. I have some great and loyal students who love this class. No matter what their age or skill level. I feel like I have accomplished something every class I teach, helping others achieve their fitness goals and change to be healthier.

Certifications: Spin Coach, and Agatsu Kettlebell Instructor
I have been instructing fitness classes since 2008. . I love do anything that challenges me physically and am willing to try anything once when it comes to the fitness world.
I am the type of person that needs to vary my fitness routine and have a hard time picking one favorite activity but I am currently loving my running, TRX, kettlebell and hot yoga routine! In my free time I love to be outside and on the go! I also love to sit and read and learn all sorts of useless information. I believe that my knowledge of the body and all its capabilities makes me an instrutor that can push people to their limits. My work experience as an MRI technologist gives me an edge to know how to make the body work more efficiently and my "do as I do" attitude brings the best out in a class setting. My hero is my father. He has proven to me time and time again that it is hard work and determination that gets you where you need to go, not waiting for someone to give it to you. My goals for all those in my classes is to achieve what you think is impossible. I want to be one of the people to take them to a level that they never dreamed they could be at.

Certifications: C.O.R.E Cycline, Group Flex
I have been a fitness instructor for 18 years. I am certified in both cycling with C.O.R.E Cycling and Group FLEX. I have continued my education for many years by attending conferences and courses such as Basic Fitness Leader . Throughout my years in the fitness industry, I have explored and instructed various group fitness classes such as, aqua aerobics, aerobics, step, circuit training, cycling, and group FLEX. I am an avid runner, who continues to see and enjoy the benefits of this exercise and I view it as one of my favorite fitness activities. Cycling, however, has become my new love for indoor group fitness and I compare it very closely to running as both activities provide me with the cardio burn I crave, blended with the out of body endurance challenge I need to leave feeling empowered and rewarded.
Group FLEX cannot be a forgotten as a necessity to my well balanced healthy lifestyle. As an instructor, my goal is to ensure each of my participants’ experience is a positive one. To empower each person with the “will” to push themselves to their maximum performance level and leave feeling they did so with success and pride! Returning participants can expect me to gradually push them toward independence, self regulation, and self motivation.

Certifications: Core Cycling and TRX Suspension Training
My best instructor quality is that I am energetic during a class and love to talk things up! I don't like for it to be quiet, I want to motivate my participants and have them motivate each other. By being energetic and talkative I am hoping to pass these qualities along to my participants while they work out. I love working out with the TRX, especially in a class setting. I also enjoy going for walks with my family, whether it be around Souris or on the beach.
My hero is my sister because she managed to survive living through an entire house renovation while being pregnant, having a 2 year old and a full time job. She is now a mom of two children who is helping coach the UPEI womens soccer team and train for a marathon. She has the determination and motivation I am hoping to have after I give birth to my second child! Goals that I would like to see my participants obtain during one of my classes would be self-improvement. This shouldn't be all at once, it should be gradual and it can be the smallest of things such as being able to do one full push-up. Nothing comes easy and they should know that only results can come with hard work! Why someone should take my class? I would love to have people attend my class because of my positive attitude, my cheerfulness and the energy that I have.

Certifications: Core Cycling, Basic Fitness and Group Fitness NB
Ledean first encouraged me to get my cycling certification in 2009. After being mostly uninvolved with group fitness for many years I questioned whether I could even do it, however, as you know, the words 'no' or 'can't' are not in Ledeans dictionary! With her encouragement I successfully completed my cycling certification and went on to pass my Fitness Theory exam and obtain my Group Fitness Leader certification through Fitness New Brunswick.
I hope to pass on that same spirit of support to my students at Total Assets. A combination of wanting to help others with their fitness goals and a desire to stay healthy both mentally & physically are what motivates me.
If you come to my class my desire would be that you feel welcome, encouraged, strong and challenged. Never intimidated. Always beautiful. My loves in life are my family, music, books, good food & friends. Words I try to live by........Love God, Love People.
