I have to say, I loved it from Day 1..........I was instantly hooked. Finally after so many years, I found
something I truly enjoyed. From there it snow-balled, I wanted to try lots of classes because the girls are so encouraging and motivating, they make you want to achieve your goals...for yourself. I've taken Spin, Kettlebell, Yoga, TRX, and BootCamp classes and can't get enough !! The classes are always FUN. The virtual classes are awesome and Sarah's Endurance Spin classes kick ass. Not only do the girls know how to push you to "your" limit, they also get you to see you can go farther...because they want you to be the best you can be.
In one of our classes Ledean asked us what our goals were. Like many others, mine was to lose weight...and to also become a Runner. I'm happy to say that the endurance and fitness I've built up at TAF has enabled me to do just that. I have run 1/2 marathons at age 40, and when I think back, probably wouldn't have been able to run around the block at age 20. I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't walked into Ledean's Studio that 1st day...but I'm certainly glad I did....I was overweight and taking medication for high blood pressure........Today I feel fitter, stronger, and healthier at 41 years old than I did at 21. Losing weight and inches was a bonus...The real prizes are getting healthy, gaining new friends (Staff & Members), getting off blood pressure medication, and just being part of such a great group.

Our funny thing about boot camp is that it was something I wanted to do. Darren had no intention. When it came time for me to go... I tried dismissing it because... 'I probably wouldn't know anyone'... but Darren wouldn't let me back out so he said he would go with me and I am VERY thankful he did. We joke about it being our date night and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!
Boot camp has made us stronger in every way possible. It is a workout we never get bored with. There is always something new introduced and we have different aches and pains the following day to prove we used a different muscle or two. Ledean and her team are THE BEST at what they do. They constantly encourage and motivate us to do the best WE can do. It is always fun!!! What more can we ask for when looking for a way to have a healthier lifestyle and drop a few pounds and inches while we are at it. We finish one workout and we are always looking forward to the next one... and the days in between we talk and laugh about things that happened at previous boot camps (usually at one of my clutsy moments... and I have had a few. But the thing we like the most about boot camp is the people. The group we workout with and the team leaders. They are a terrific bunch and we wouldn't be where we are today without them.
To anyone reading this: If this is something you thought about doing. Don't think anymore. Just do it. Grab your spouse and go. You will be glad you did!!!

We began attending Total Assets Fitness classes last fall. Chris had attended a few kickboxing classes and with little to no coaxing I joined him shortly after & we were hooked!! The first few classes were the toughest as I couldn't even manage a single pushup. As I watched the rest of the class I remember thinking that there was no way that I would ever be able to do what they were doing; but after only a few weeks and encouragement from Shawn we were both breaking physical plateaus that neither of us thought we could.
Shawn challenges us every week and our health & physical capabilities have become a very important part of our lifestyle thanks to Total Assets and their instructors! Aside from feeling better, looking better & having more energy it is something we both enjoy doing. Kickboxing is something we do together but Chris also attends Trx and I enjoy spin classes! It is very rewarding. The instructors are what sets Total Assets above the rest, they are good at what they do and their drive for the well being of others is very influential. Thanks!!

My name is Yvonne Morrison and I decided to try bootcamp with the TAF group after being away from a fitness routine for about nine months. I had been going to, quite enjoying, and seeing results from both spin and kettlebell classes at the studio for some time, however my winter schedule prevented me from continuing these and I knew from the way that not only my clothes felt, but also how I felt, mentally and physically, that I had to get back to a fitness routine. Bootcamp came along at the perfect time and I immediately loved it. I was a little nervous about returning after such a long break but the TAF gang made it feel great right from the start. Ledean, Sarah, and Lindsay had helped get me going once before, and I knew they could again. I’m so happy I didn’t make excuses not to go. The group environment of the bootcamp helped to keep me going well past the point I thought possible. My goals were simple. I wanted to feel better and fit into last summer’s clothes. While I am on the way to achieving these goals the bonus and best part has been the new friendships formed as well as the time spent with old friends in a healthy, fun environment. Fitness, Fun and Friendship. What could be better for your overall well being. Thanks TAF!

I was honoured when Ledean asked me to write something. I had not done anything for myself in a fitness aspect since both my boys were born. In January 2010 I started kickboxing and loved it. I had great results and tried to never miss a class. I have an injury on my right arm, not from kickboxing and that forced me to stop. I then tried Zumba, loved it but, I was looking for a challenge. Summer was quickly approaching, when I heard about bootcamp. Scared that I would not be able to do it because of my arm, I questioned both Ledean and Sarah and they both said I would be fine. On the first day, I was put with the running group, I kept trying to tell Ledean that I could not run, which I couldn't. I was told to push myself and that I would become a runner. I am so glad that they did that to me. I feel absolutly wonderful after completing the 8 week bootcamp. I have even started running 2-3 times a week on my own. I look forward to seeing how far I will go in the future. Thank you to Ledean, Sarah, Lindsey and Michelle and for showing me how to believe in myself and for pushing me.
Nikki O'Conner is an MVP when it comes to attending classes at Total Assets. She mixes up her routine with Zumba, Cycling, TRX-RipCore, Yoga and BootCamps......Here is her story:
Before going to Total Assets' Bootcamp I was going to another exercise class which I LOVED and had been going to for almost 2 years, but I wanted to do something a little more difficult and push myself harder. So I tried bootcamp and after the first class I was hooked!
Before bootcamp I always said 'I can't run, I don't have the cardio for that.' Ledean timed us jogging a lap around the track, my time was 2mins 20sec and I felt like I was going to die. Now after the 8 week bootcamp I can jog around the track in a minute and a half and keep on going. I feel much more fit, stronger and just healthier.
Along with the bootcamp I started trying out some of the other classes offered by Total Assets and I love them all.
Thank you to Ledean and her team for being so motivational and supportive and also for reminding us all to dig deep when we want to quit and find the strength to keep going!

Bootcamp with the fitness instructors from Total Assets fitness is a workout like no other. The staff provide a great atmosphere by making every individual feel welcome and yet provide the encouragement to push everyone to reach their own potential.
What I liked most about the bootcamp is the variety of exercises involved and not knowing what to expect helped to continually keep my interest. Through bootcamp I had the opportunity to meet great people who were working towards similar goals and helped to keep things fun rather than tedious.
My personal goal was to become healthier and more active. Each class helped to increase my fitness level and kept me wanting more. After completing the 8 week program I have seen a huge change in my cardio level and am running more than ever before.
Bootcamp helped me to become interested in many of the other classes offered at Total Assets Fitness and despite a busy lifestyle I have been able to incorporate them into my exercise regime as well which I really enjoy.
Through the help of the great instructors I have been able to accomplish things I otherwise wouldn’t have on my own and am now living a healthier lifestyle. A big thanks to Ledean and her staff for helping me lose weight, get fit, and put me on the path to becoming a better me...

It has been about a year and a half since I started Kickboxing at Total Assets. My goal at the time was to lose a few pounds and inches and get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. But, once I started going it turned into more than just losing weight and inches it became an important part of my life. When I first started I couldn’t do a push up or a plank but as time went on I developed the strength to do numerous push ups and a 2 minute plank !! These were HUGE accomplishments for me. It became an addiction for me I enjoyed it so much! It wasn’t just the workout but the friendships I developed with the other people that went to the classes.
The most encouraging part of the kickboxing classes is our instructor Shawn, he always pushes us every class! I never knew what sweat was until I started his class. He is just a great motivator! I don’t think that I would have done so well without him! After doing classes for a full year he still makes it tough. He switches it up every class and challenges us on every occasion. He makes it fun for us, and laughs with us and thinks its great if we get bruises or bumps from our workouts!!
Because I enjoy the classes so much, I wanted my daughter Kristen to join me in the workouts. She was like me, she wanted to lose some weight and get fit as well so she tried kickboxing as well and really enjoyed. It also became a huge part of her life. We both decided to change our eating habits and do it together. I told her that I knew we could both do it! We both found it tough to make that change but we did it together! We cut out the junk food, portion controlled, got up off the couch and did the kickboxing classes.
We are definitely seeing results! I went from size 9 to a size 6 and lost 10 pounds and Kristen went from a size 9 to a size 7 and lost 8 pounds. Kristen used to always complain about her hips being her problem area and now with the hard work she has put in she has lost that unwanted weight :) I`m so proud of my daughter for what she has accomplished! She was so excited when Ledean asked her to help out with the Youth Kickboxing Program. She loved every minute of it! We both also did a few of the boot camp classes too which we really enjoyed together
I`m proud of what I have accomplished but I am even more proud of my daughter who has come so far and pushed herself so hard through every workout!. We both have raved on to our family and friends about how great this class is! I totally recommend this class to anyone who has a hard time getting up and getting motivated because this is the class that will motivate you! A lot of people would say “I can’t do it!” I would say “Yes you can!” My daughter Kristen and I are proof of it! It becomes such a positive part of your life and if you stick with it you WILL see results!

I joined bootcamp because I wanted to fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans. After the first class I was hooked. It was very challenging and pushed me further than I would on my own...which I needed. I got to meet a lot of really great new people and met up with a few friends I hadn't seen in awhile. It was a struggle sometimes to get to bootcamp with 2 small kids at home and Bobby out lobster fishing but I never wanted to miss a class. So thanks to my family I was able to get to almost every class. I also started to watch what I was eating...especially the portion size. So after 8 weeks I have lost 11 pounds and feel great. You and your team are always so motivating. I will miss bootcamp when it is over. My best bootcamp moment has to be our last workout at the Graphic hill. It's a struggle just to walk up that hill but I was able to run it twice.
When Ledean told me about the Outdoor fitness I thought, I'm not really much for getting out in a group, but since I told her I would try it I thought I would probably only stick at it for a week or so. Once I got into it, I hated to see November come. It is the most rewarding form of exercise I have done in over 25 years. If you let it...you will feel good from the inside out...some times I was probably even a bit wobbly when finishing but that feeling of accomplishment would far out weigh that of fatigue. I give Thanks to Ledean for getting me going...and for those that were me in the fall ...Thanks for Keeping Me Going!!!

When I decided to try the Total Assets Fitness classes in the Fall of 2007, I did so, with the view that it wouldn't be for me. There was the option to run, walk or do a combination of walking/running through trails in the woods. Seeing as I couldn't run to the end of my driveway, I decided I would participate in the walking classes. After year one I am running approximately 5K every second day and biking 10K on the alternate days. My 16-year-old daughter along with my husband have joined the classes and they really enjoy it as well. My eleven-year-old son goes to the Boot camp and the dryland hockey training to stay in shape for all the sports he loves to compete in. I challenge anyone to come out and try the outdoor adventure classes. It truly will be an adventure to change your view of fitness.
